About SoleyProof
What this is

SoleyProof is a trade directory and job-management platform for construction and trade work, with an AI-assisted compliance scanner that lets a licensed trade check their own work against a code-clause index and record a self-certification.

The compliance check is self-certification by the licensed trade who did the work — AI-assisted, not independent third-party certification. The trade’s sign-off is the actual certifying act; SoleyProof is the transparent record of that self-certification and the licence/ABN verification behind it, not a certifying authority in its own right. Some trades (electrical work, in particular) have their own separate mandatory statutory certification pathway that SoleyProof does not replace.

How the verification works

Before a trade can issue a self-certification, SoleyProof checks their trade licence and ABN against the real government registers, and confirms the specific work category being certified is one of that trade’s own currently-active licence classes. If any of those can’t be confirmed as real and current, no certification can be issued — there is no self-declared or manually overridden path around this.

Terms and conditions

By using SoleyProof you agree to the following. This is a plain-English summary, not a substitute for legal advice.

Self-certification, not independent verification of workmanship. SoleyProof’s AI-assisted check is decision support for the trade performing the work. It does not inspect, warrant, or guarantee the quality, safety, or compliance of any completed work, and it is not a substitute for any statutory certification, inspection, or licensing scheme that applies to a given trade or job.

No warranty on AI output. AI-generated findings and reasoning may be incomplete or incorrect. Trades remain solely responsible for their own compliance with all applicable laws, licensing conditions, and insurance requirements (including Home Building Compensation Fund cover where required), regardless of what a check result shows.

Platform provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoleyProof and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Third-party data. Licence, ABN, and other verification data is sourced from government registers and providers outside SoleyProof’s control. SoleyProof displays what those sources return and will show an honest “pending” or “unavailable” status rather than a guessed result when a source can’t be reached — see the live status banner shown across the app when that happens.
